Welcome to Change Therapies
Leading the way in emotional and psychological well-being.
Let’s face it, sometimes unexpected life events can leave you feeling overwhelmed and totally lost. Paradoxically these very same life events can be the catalyst needed to encourage an individual to grow and develop personally. During these difficult and challenging times more and more people turn to psychological or complementary interventions such as therapy. Even though we all need challenges in our lives in order to facilitate progress, some of those events can produce the opposite effect.
Certain types of distress can bring about symptoms such as anxiety and depression, for some people these feelings can become all-consuming and can leave the individual unable to function optimally. This whole process can be very scary and concerning for the individual as well as family members. Most people who have experienced these debilitating episodes will tell you that unless you have experienced this yourself you may not understand the depth of how it can make you feel.
Change therapies is an accumulation of over 20 years of helping people in distress from different parts of the world. This unique experience of living in various countries has provided me with a diverse skill set to be able to be mindful of all the cultural differences that are part of being human.
Over the last twenty years I have been helping individuals and couples deal with various types of emotional pain. Below is a very short list of the types of issues that people present-
- Anger management
- Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Relational distress
- Sleep issues
- Panic attacks
Having trained in the UK several different schools of thought including counselling, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), couple counselling, hypnotherapy, coaching, neuro-linguistic programming and mindfulness, this wide scope of skills, and many years of knowledge and experience, allows me tailor the therapy to fit the client.
There are lots of different types of therapy out there, and lots of different titles like counsellor, psychotherapist, psychologist etc. It can all be very confusing if you are not familiar with this domain. If you feel you need counselling or other types of therapy please do get in touch to discuss further, and if I cannot help I’ll point you in the right direction.
